Egg-citing News...

We have some ‘egg-citing’ news – Easter 2019 is here! Once again, we have planned a time of fun and enjoyment for the whole family.

First, our popular annual Easter Egg Selfie Competition is back: it will run from Monday, 8th April until Friday, 19th April. This year, we have upped the ante and will now have FOUR colourful eggs hiding around the Estate: two orange, two green. Here is how the competition works:

  • Each morning, our four BIG EGGS will leave the HOA Office. They will be plopped in secret locations – two on either side of the Estate. Their locations will change daily, so keep your eyes peeled!
  • If you spot the BIG EGG, stop and take a creative selfie with it.
  • E-mail your photo to, with the entrant’s name, age and address.

  • If you are driving when you spot the BIG EGG, please make sure you stop in a safe place to take your photo. Also, please do not obstruct the roadway/golf cart pathway.
  • The more creative and crazy your photo is, the greater your chances of winning!
  • If you need to temporarily move the egg to stage your photo, please put it back precisely where you found it.

The entrant with the most creative photograph will be the winner and will receive 1kg in Lindt Chocolate Bunnies. The winner will be announced at our Grand Easter Egg Hunt, taking place at the Heron Community Centre on Saturday, 20th April from 9am to 11am. We look forward to a morning of fun, as we search for marshmallow eggs hidden in and around the Heron. This year, we’re excited to have the Easter Bunny take time out of his busy schedule to join us – he’ll be there to have some fun with us. There will be a few special prizes up for grabs, too!
Please note:

  • The Grand Easter Egg Hunt at the Heron is open to under 10’s only.
  • All children must be pre-registered for the hunt. E-mail the name, surname and age of your child/ren to to register.

We hope you will join in the Easter fun – it’s sure to be a festive period.
