Our first, annual Spring Fest was a bright, cheery success on Saturday, 7th September.
An energetic group of residents - grandparents, parents and children - gathered at the Guinea Fowl Sports Field just as the sun was peeking out from behind the clouds. We started off with a brisk trail walk, expertly led by our Landscaping Supervisor Michael Riley.
Then, it was back to the field for an explosion of colour: our first Colour Run! Handfuls of coloured powder (eco-friendly, of course) were tossed into the air, and more than a few handfuls of fun were had.
The morning was brought to a rousing end with an appearance from Sharkie, the Sharks' mascot. Excited rugby fans, who had donned their Sharks jerseys for the occasion, were thrilled to see Sharkie himself running onto the field.
A special thank you to the Creativity Lab for their assistance, and to The Cell C Sharks for partnering with us to bring Sharkie over. Thank you, also to Blonde Zulu Photography for surprising us with a few photographs.
Also, a huge thank you - and, well done - to our children for staying behind to clean up after the fun, ensuring no litter remained behind.
What a beautiful way to bring in Spring!
