Food, glorious food!
This week, you're going to meet the gorgeous ladies who work in our Food and Beverage department: possibly one of the largest within our staff. These are the ladies who ensure, firstly, your meals are prepared to the highest standard, and then hand them over to our exceptional waitresses to serve you with a smile.
Jolene Naik, Andile Mhlongo, Jennet Mthethwa, Melissa Shezi, June Khumalo, Michell Govender, Portia Nxumalo, Anelisa Galeni, Nelly Ngcobo, Busiswa Noxaka and Silindile Duma.
These ladies are dedicated to providing service of an outstanding standard in our Fig Tree Restaurant. They also provide service at events held in our Conference rooms, such as the internationally acclaimed Chaine des Rottiseurs dinner held earlier this year. Unfortunately, Mama Dudu Ngidi, our beloved Halfway House supervisor, Restaurant Manager Melanie St Clair-Mulley and Assistant Restaurant Manager Charleen Janse van Rensburg weren't available for the photo: these three powerhouses ensure service is smooth and efficient, and that staff are well-managed.
Betty Dube, Kathija Mahomed, Hlengiwe Dladla, Winnie Zulu, Lungile Ntshulane, Fodo Adam, Philile Dlamini, Kiosha Ramdut and Lucy Ndumo.
Under the leadership of Executive Chef Gary Opperman and Senior Sous Chef Godfrey Kinyanjui, this dynamic crew keeps the pass running, and form integral parts of the different sections in the kitchens. Some of our female chefs are among the longest serving staff members at Simbithi, and know our residents and regular patrons by name.
Our newly appointed, firecracker Events Manager Chantal Geddes ensures every event held at Simbithi is of an outstanding standard. With her ever-present smile and fantastic attention to detail; Chantal is an asset to our team.
Ladies, we are supremely thankful for all you do to keep our Food and Beverage department in tip top shape!
